35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade Names 2009
Soldier, NCO and KATUSA of the Year


While some say winning isn’t everything, for the 12 competitors of the 35th Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Brigade’s 2009 Soldier, Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) and Korean Augmentation to the United States Army (KATUSA) of the Year competition, winning meant everything.

32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command Conducts Tactics Seminar

     The 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC) hosted an Army wide Tactics Seminar on 7 and 8 May 2009, at Fort Bliss, Texas, to assist in the development of new techniques to counter current and future air and missile defense threats and to maintain Army Air Defense Artillery’s capability to deploy anywhere in the world against the full spectrum of air and missile threats.

The Air Defense Artillery (ADA) School is packing its duffle bags and casing its colors after 41 years at Fort Bliss, Texas. On Wednesday, 6 May 2009, in a brief "color casing" ceremony ADA prepared its flags for movement to Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

William Blair Case "The Pen" of Air Defense Artillery for more than 30 years, retired on 30 March 2009. During his career, Mr. Case was the Editor-in-Chief of the ADA magazine (PB-44), the ADA Yearbook(s), many pamphlets and brochures and was the creator and manager of this web site. In 2007, Blair shared the honor of being named the Chief of Staff of the Army's Editor of the Year. Blair's historical knowledge, wonderful wit and unique writing style has kept us informed on ADA topics for several generations. We thank him for his dedication, diligence and patriotism.
